The Snake Pit

09.2020 - 10.2020 | 50 x 50 | Acryl on board

Snakes have always intrigued me, both mysterious and mesmerizing.Look at them another way, and they’re a powerful symbol of change. When they outgrow their skin, they shed it and emerge renewed, a reminder that with growth comes the chance to let go of old habits and embrace something new.In this piece, 8 little creatures intertwine, slithering under, over, and around each other, forming an ♾️. Can you find them all? ♾️Take your time. Let the search bring you stillness.Wishing you moments of peace, discovery, and inspiration today.

The Black Hole

10.2020 - 12.2020 | 80 x 40 | Acryl on board

The universe is mesmerising, isn’t it? Infinite and full of mysteries.Black holes, those black miracles, are the most fascinating. Imagine if they could swallow chaos and reset everything into something new. What’s on the other side? A place where you can live out your wildest imagination perhaps? Now, imagine a black hole in your mind, pulling in stress, mistakes, maybe even sadness. A clean slate. No magic needed, just a choice to start fresh, every day. This painting is your reminder: like a black hole can reset the universe, you can too. Here’s to fresh starts and endless possibilities.

Floating Pebbles

12.2020 - 01.2021 | 2x 40 x 40 | Acryl on board | Diptych

Picture this: a warm pebble beach, a soft breeze on your skin, and clear water so pristine the pebbles seem to float. Nature’s art in motion, a simple, stunning reminder of life’s quiet beauty. With every wave, the pebbles sing in harmony, carried by the sea, the wind, and the pull of the moon and sun. This piece invites you to pause, breathe, and let go. Sometimes, all it takes is the sound of waves to remind you to just be.

I See You

01.2021 - 02.2021 | 50 x 50 | Acryl on board

“Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.”This piece, "I See You," celebrates connection. It’s not just about seeing, it’s about understanding, appreciating, and valuing someone for who they truly are.In a world that often prioritizes quantity over quality, this painting is a reminder of the beauty in slowing down and truly seeing others.Because feeling seen is one of life’s greatest gifts.

Black Birds
in the Wicked Tree

03.2021 - 05.2021 | 3x 40 x 30 | Acryl on canvas | Triptych

Birds have always reminded me of freedom and joy. They’re full of energy, living in the moment, and when something feels off, they simply take flight, untouchable and free. This painting blends the beauty of nature and life itself. The tree is based on an X-ray of a lung, both powerful providers of oxygen, an incredible connection between us and the world we share. It’s a reminder to live like the birds: present, grateful, and aware of the small, beautiful things around us. Let’s protect the one world we have.

The Fingerprint

07.2021 - 11.2021 | 70 x 50 | Acryl on canvas

Isn’t it incredible that no one else in the world has your fingerprint? This piece features the fingerprint of my eldest daughter. Capturing it in art feels like preserving a small piece of her identity, her own story. It’s a reminder of how unique we all are, down to the tiniest details. In a world of similarities, it’s the small things that set us apart. This painting celebrates those details that make you, you.

Carnival in space

02.2021 - 11.2021 | 120 x 90 | Acryl on canvas

Have you ever felt the pure joy of a carnival parade? Confetti in every color, music, and excitement filling the air. This painting reimagines that magic: in space!!! Happiness and stardust raining down!A playful celebration of life and the universe all around us.

Tangled

12.2021 - 11.2022 | 90 x 90 | Acryl on canvas

This artwork, with its 12 winding strings, captures the beautiful chaos of the mind. It’s a reminder to find peace by focusing on one colour, one thought, one step at a time.Pick a colour, follow its twists and turns, and see where it takes you.Just like in life, staying on your path leads you forward, one journey ending, another beginning.Fun fact: each colour is inspired by a real snake. Nature’s creativity is endless.

Roots

11.2022 - 08.2023 | 80 x 60 | Acryl on canvas

Everything is connected.Beneath the surface, there’s an entire world hidden from our eyes, a world much more peaceful than ours. It’s a network where energy flows freely, providing the foundation for all life above. In this artwork, the form resembles a tree trunk, with roots spreading out like veins in the earth. Down below, everything is linked, flowing together in perfect harmony. While our world often feels scattered, the one below is a reminder of the quiet strength and unity that comes from connection. A reminder that beneath it all, everything flows as one.

10.2024 - 02.2025 | 3x 50 | Acryl on board

Go with the flow.Where surrender creates space for growth, opportunity, and trust in what’s unfolding.Everything aligns in its own time.

The Artist: Karin Peet

The Creative Roots and Life's JourneyI was born into a creative family in the south of the Netherlands, where I started drawing at a very young age. In high school, I took painting classes and seemed to have a talent for it. I was even advised to go to art school. However, due to circumstances, I chose another path.Life took me on another journey, and I was blessed with two beautiful daughters. Raising them as a single mom has been both challenging and deeply fulfilling. Despite the struggles, the love and joy they bring into my life have always been my greatest privilege and motivation. Being surrounded by their love and radiant energy has been my constant source of strength.I’ve also had my own challenges. I was born with a dysthymic disorder and, at the age of 52, was diagnosed with AD(H)D. This diagnosis explained so much and finally connected the dots for me, giving me insight into why I’ve always viewed the world differently. It took many years, but I’ve come to understand that being different is not a flaw, it's a gift.Discovering Purpose Through ChallengesDuring the lockdown, when the world slowed down from its chaotic pace, I promised myself to make this time meaningful. I wanted to create something that I could look back on with positivity.Over the years, people had often encouraged me, saying, ‘Why don’t you use your creativity to make beautiful things for others to enjoy?’ So, over the past few years, I haven been creating my own collection of Dotted Artwork™ pieces, inspired by nature and beyond, a long-held dream of mine. Before this period, I never imagined I could become an artist who creates her own art. But the pause in 2020 gave me the space to reflect and find peace of mind. It became a turning point, where I discovered my happy place and realized that it’s never too late to change the direction of your path.Dotted Artwork™: A Journey of Meditation and GrowthDotted Artwork™ is like meditation for me. It calms my chaotic mind; it’s just me and those tiny dots. As soon as I start placing them on the canvas, my busy brain finds its rhythm... one dot at a time. My hyper-focus shifts into a meditative state, bringing me peace and clarity. My Dotted Artwork™ is created through a process of layering. The first layer sets the foundation, creating the design and color scheme. At this stage, the dots are simply points on the canvas. To bring the artwork to life and achieve a 3D effect, I built multiple layers, each adding depth and dimension. Finally, I’m excited to introduce my collection of 12 pieces of Dotted Artwork™. I truly hope you enjoy my work and that it inspires you to create your own art and find your own happy place!
